"Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a pleasure for me to be here tonight and address such a great audience. The issue I would like to bring up threatens the prosperity and welfare of the whole nation, however, the majority of the population tends to ignore it and pretend as if it is not a problem at all. Namely, I would like to talk about the risks of obesity.

Obviously, the complaints and disappointment may hardly improve the recent state of affairs. Subsequently, I believe that the awareness and personal determination to change the trend are the first steps towards the overall success. Some of you would definitely argue that it is an entirely personal responsibility or, at most, the responsibility of the Department of Health.

Let me disagree and explain the essence of obesity. In particular, reducing the time and money being spent on meals has become a generally accepted trend which, however, may hardly bring the benefits to anyone except the fast-food companies’ bosses. Therefore, we should agree that the recent economic model, which has made healthy eating a privilege of a few, is exceptionally harmful.

So, what can be done to change the pattern? First of all, there are two aspects of the campaign against the spread of obesity. Namely, the first one implies the efforts of the official institutions and includes informational campaigns conduction as well as providing the obese people with a proper treatment. However, I would like to emphasise the importance of the other aspect which, I believe, implies a key meaning in terms of changing the negative statistics. Namely, I would like to talk about the determination and responsibility of each of us who are neither medical officials nor the obesity victims.

In particular, each of us has a friend or colleague who is suffering from obesity. There are also people, like our children, to whom our behaviour may serve as a model to follow. We are responsible for those people and should put our best efforts to raise their awareness and convince them that it is better to lose some extra half-an-hour but keep our health and welfare safe.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me once again thank you for your patience. Being aware and responsible, we are capable of overcoming the threats of obesity spread. Thank you and good bye!"

"Assalamualaikum Wr Wb.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, teachers, parents, and my fellow students. Our today’s meeting is an outstanding event for all of us as another academic year has come to an end. This means that another group of students graduates from our school and is to start its way into ‘adult life’. Actually, this ‘adult life’ seems to be less appealing and more terrifying with its close oncoming, and it is a great fortune that it is not my turn to enter it yet.

I have one more year of study left, so this occasion does not have a direct relation to me, still there are a few important things I am eager to tell our graduates, among which is my older sister. The first one is: please, do not be afraid of the changes that come to your life; they are crucial, unpredictable, and overwhelming but you are able to deal with them.

Thus, just build your own way and remember that your families and friends are always there to provide you with any needed support. In addition, please, keep in mind the fact that we are graduating after you and look up to you as examples and inspirations, so, do not be up to anything you would not like us to do. I believe that would be the most suitable advice and recommendation you can hear from someone my age.

Another point that I would like to highlight is the crucial value of your dreams as, like the great Steve Jobs pointed out, the way to success is to “dream bigger”, and this tool is available for everyone.

There has barely been one person in the world that has never failed, so, you, most probably, will not become such an exception. Thus, do not limit yourself by the fear of losing; you will lose one day anyway, and this occasion is unpredictable and unpreventable. It may sound absolutely discouraging but have a think about it: if there is nothing to hold you back, everything is possible.

With this in mind, make a bold, confident, and reckless step in life, hurry to fall, because the sooner you will do this, the more time you will have for getting back to the top. Do not let the obstacles and failures stop you as they are just other twists of a great life adventure you are to embark on and we are looking forward to witness

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me once again thank you for your patience. Thank you!
Wassalamualaikum Wr Wb."

"Assalamualaikum Wr Wb.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Due to my age, somebody may doubt the validity of the words I am going to say, but there is one advantage that it provides; I am already capable of assessing a figure of a father from a perspective different from the one that is usually taken by school children who want to get a good mark for a proper essay.

Not aiming at getting straight A’s from you, I can confidently say that my father fulfilled three of the most important functions in my life, each of which is apparently the expression of his good nature.

First of all, my father set a good example of being a family caregiver. This notion embraces for me not only the financial issues but also points connected with the emotional stability of the family.

Surely, I am delighted with his ability to earn a sufficient amount of money to satisfy the needs of his close ones; especially if to take into account that after graduation he started his career as a gas station worker. Despite the fact that work was consuming a great part of his time, my father had always managed to find a minute to talk with us, his sons, and express that our mother and we are much more important than work.

Only years after that I have realised that all the time spent at work was sacrificed in order for us to feel comfortable. The second role taken by him was a friend. I am not sure how many people can boast about the same, but my father was a person whom I addressed in need.

Even though there was a division of topics I could discuss with my peers and father, the most important and personal issues I discussed exclusively with my father. There were situations when my friends were astonished at my statement that it was my father’s advice, and even then I was proud of having such a person.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me once again thank you for your patience. Thank you!
Wassalamualaikum Wr Wb."
