Pengertian kata sifat (adjective).

Kata sifat (adjective) adalah sebuah kata atau frasa yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan atau menjelaskan gambaran akan sebuah kata benda atau kata ganti. Kata sifat menjelaskan mulai dari kuantitas, urutan, kualitas, ukuran, jarak, dan penekanan suatu kata lainnya. Kata sifat dapat menerangkan keadaan suatu subjek maupun objek, dapat berupa manusia, hewan, benda ataupun lain sebagainya.

Macam- macam kata sifat dalam bahasa Inggris.

1. Descriptive adjective.
Descriptive adjective adalah bentuk kata sifat yang menjelaskan bentuk atau sifat dari suatu benda. Contoh:

- The funny fat white kitten will be adopted next week
- This pool is dangerous for us
- This shop is much nicer
- She is kind and beautiful
- I met a homeless person in Bandung
- He is handsome boy
- Rayanza is an adorable baby

2. Distributive adjective.
Distributive adjective adalah bentuk kata sifat dalam bahasa Inggris yang memiliki sifat atau bentuk pembagian. Contoh:

- Each student has to obey the school regulation
- They choose either mango or apple
- Every woman will fell the menstruation
- She eats every early morning
- Neither teacher is at the office
- He always get up every morning

3. Possessive adjective.
Possessive adjective adalah bentuk adjective atau kata sifat dalam bahasa inggris yang digunakan untuk menyatakan kepemilikan. Contoh:

- My cat is sick and i bring it to vegetarian
- Our school is far from here
- My fiancee is traveling to London
- She book is on the table
- I will fetch my brother at 6 o'clock
- This is my new novel

4. Interrogative adjective.
Interrogative adjective digunakan untuk menanyakan suatu hal atau benda. Contoh:

- What books do you bring for me?
- How is your life?
- Whose phone you want to borrow?
- What is your hobby?
- Which kangaroo jumps higher?
- Why are you sad?
- What problem you suffer?
- Which method is best?
