Dalam kata kerja pasif bahasa Inggris terdapat beberapa jenis yaitu:

1. Simple present passive (present tense passive)

2. Simple past passive (past tense passive)
Contoh: The book was written by the author. (Buku ditulis oleh pengarang.)

3. Present continuous passive (present continuous tense passive)

Kata kerja pasif juga bisa dibentuk dengan menggunakan kata kerja bantu "to be" yang diikuti oleh kata kerja bentuk ketiga (V3). Contohnya: The letter was written (Surat itu ditulis).
